Here is a trick to keep your rear fender from melting where it sits on or near the exhaust pipe by the silencer. I got some radiator hose that was the same diameter as the pipe and put it over the area where the plastic meets the pipe and secured it with two hose clamps, then purchased some heat shield (Moose Racing) and covered the area on the underside of the rear fender that is exposed to the exhuast. Now my new plastic isnt going to slowly melt away. Hope this helps!
