Neil,

Can you look into what is available for a 265 powervalve. It seems LRD is still listing them as a bored to 300 and nikasiled. FTZ still lists them. Are the iron sleeves still available? If CT and ESR can still get them, can you get them unported and put a rotax powervalve on them?

I'm about ready to buy a 250 non-powervalve Pro-x cylinder and a used LRD powervalve motor. I'd like to see what kind of prices you can do on these that way I can get you to port it exactly how I want.

Sorry for all the questions, I'm just trying to make an informed purchase.

Talked to Allen at CT the other day about this, he said he would need to check & see if he still had the molds for the 265 cylinders & also said he would check his test rack (what ever that ment) to see if he had any cylinders left.
Looks kinda dim getting one but not 100% sure about it.

I've got a used ESR flat top 265 non pv top end, but it realy needs replating before using anymore.

so you can get 295 la sleeve s for a stock jug?..... what kinda money would that be + porting and new piston?.... or what would one of these 310/330 PV jugs be worth?
Yes, I can get those sleeves from several suppliers, they dont have to come from LA.
I do cylinder re-sleeving.
Installation labor is 180.00 & includes installing the sleeve, matching the ports up, boring, hone fitting std 295 piston & decking the cylinder.
295 piston kits start at 139.95 & I'm not 100% sure right now because I dont have a new catolog listing, but another brand of piston may be in the works. LA Sleeve is now retailing a piston under the name of Wossner, a german made piston. Looks realy good & has the molly coating on the sides.
I did a banshee big bore install awhile back & the kit had those pistons.

moly coating is a good stuff .. I beleive it was what kept my resleeve from seizing once ,.. the cylinder head leaked , got real hot & piston had beginning signs of seizing ..yet it didnt seize..inspected everything look decent afterwards .. put it back together & ran fine for many hours

sp is la sleeve not using weisco anymore?
As was once said long time ago when I drove trucks, had one company they leased the tractors from for a bunch of years & then they switched companys, when I asked why, reply was, well we decided to let somebody else have some new fresh meat. Glad it wasnt costing me, must have been getting the shaft I guess.
Kinda ticked me off though, switch & all, them ol F700 cabover Macks with a 325 V8 Maxidine & 5 speed gear box, shucks you could pull off in 2nd gear & didnt have but 3 more gears to touch, pull out 80,000lb at 86 mph on I-95 & wouldnt have to touch the stick till you got to the tunnel at Baltomore, now thats gitnherdone son.

Yeah, from this point on, what ever size your ordering, depends on what is in stock untill the Wisecos are gone, so I hear.
