I'm looking to replace the plastics on my 1987 250R and it seems only Maier and KTXPRO are readily available. Does anyone have experience with KTXPRO plastic? Is there another brand you'd recommend?

I'm curious if there is anything different. It seems like if they are chinese made they should be cheaper than maier. Maier has been around for a while, I would stick with them unless you go with fullbore.

Thanks. Do you know anyone who sells fullbore? My internet searches have left me a bit confused as to how to get a set.

Are you on facebook? I don't know the guys name, but he is usually on the groups. But I imagine if you call them direct, you should get some response. I think they have some of the standard colors in stock, full fender might be special order though.

So I've tried contacting them via Facebook, their web-form submission, and tried calling them. Not sure Fullbore is still taking orders. Anyone have any ideas?
I'm not sure what more you can do regarding Fullbore. Alternatively, there is Maier. They make 2-piece full fender fronts (similar to OEM) and 1-piece race cut fronts, either with a smooth/flat hood or cutout hood that is similar to the look of Fullbore. Maier is also made in the USA compared to KTX Pro being made in China. It appears that Maier and KTX Pro are similarly priced, too.

Thanks, maybe Maier has gotten better but the last set I got from them had fitment issues and kind of looked like trash compared to fullbore.

If Maier plastic isn't fitting properly than I doubt the ktxpro chinese plastic will fit any better because it looks like a direct copy of the Maier's. My nephew has full fender Maier's on his 89 & they seemed to fit good. He got his R a couple years ago & they were new when he got it.

Remember they updated the Maier a few years back using input from this forum and they got better after that. They weren't that bad before but for example the kickstarter didn't tuck in all that well and they addressed that for one.

Full bore still does make their plastics, you’d have to email or call them to see what they got in stock…

I seen a pic of one KTXpro in white a guy in the fb groups got them off of eBay. From the pics it looked pretty nice.

and I just got me a set of used maier plastics recently and I’m pretty happy with them. They do look nice. Fittment was pretty good. I know back then people were complaining about maiers fittment, but I don’t see any problems with the set I got.
