Alright...started doing some powdercoating and the motor tear - down. Cylinder is on its way to neil ;)

I was experimenting with different combinations the other day, i tried silver vein, with candy red top coat... but... I ended up liking copper vein base with trans/candy red on the top. This is what i used on the side covers.

Admin, I saw your pics in QOTM, on the bike you use for your Avatar, I have a question on the A-arms.

Are those Laeger T-pin XC +1 arms? Second part of the questions is the spindle. Did you use a 400 ex

spindle, weld in a center link and then tap threads to install the heims? If so, that is seriously impressing,

I would have never thought of that.

very very good eye. Yes those are 400ex spindles, with an aluminum piece through the center and heims on each end. Its a "protraxx" front end that GT Thunder used to make and sell. they were +3 and i had 4:1 offset wheels on it. Honestly anyone could make that setup all you need is the heims, then make a piece (to replace the balljoints) on your normal a-arm to where the heim could hook in. Bam bind free front end.

I sold the front end used on ebay for 600 like 3 years ago.

heres some more pics.

Cool pics of those a-arms. Thanks for posting. I remember seeing a long shock version like that as well. I think it was pro series performance or something like that.

I was able to notice because I have the Protrax front end on my Laeger bike. I noticed that the spindles didn't look like mine. Then I looked closer and could tell what they were. I have some aluminum round stock that we use for making radius rods on supermodifieds, it will be perfect. I never even thought of the idea until I saw yours. I just might make make me a gull wing style +4 lt front end for some experimentation. Hmm, I think I need to finish my moms bike first.
