How much HP should i expect out of my new R? ESR 310 with their mid/top porting , ESR pipe trx5 pipe/silencer, uni air filter, 39mm carb, V force reeds. This motor runs the spacer plate and 86 piston. its a 89 bottom end. Also has CR250 flywheel/ignition/harness.

info on the compression is always good .. .. compression=horsepower....but since your other thread says are getting 170lbs ...more hp can be gained by increasing the comopression ...a higher compression 310 can get in the low -mid 50's @ countershaft

to maximize hp i would get a stroker crank, raise the compression, and get the port work touched up by a more reputable engine builder. ESR has a lot of cylinders to port and just goes by the numbers and doesnt do the little stuff that gets you the extra couple and ridability that will give you the edge over the competition.

a stock 250R is in the 34-38hp range. the same range that a z400 is in. a 250R is just lighter. the online atv world has overinflated HP numbers for a long time.

i dont think you need to get a stroker crank either, a good porter should get you in the 50hp range on a 310. and save you some money over the stroker.

50hp stock holy shit if that was the case there would be no need for aftermarket cylinders or port work for that matter and 60cc does not mean 25hp hell a stock blaster only puts out around 25hp and its 200cc

this is coming from a guy who sold a stock suspension R for --5 grand Im sure his numbers are inflated
according to duncan and my ass dyno (LOL) my 265 puts out around 45-47 with 210lbs of compression

chvycruzen/Matt has a esr 310pv with c-leigh port work and thats gotta be around 54-58 wicked fast
I am only guessing here but like everyone is saying 50+ or so is what you should be looking at

There's no way to know until you put it on a dyno. Then you can tune the powerband to your riding style.
