OK so you are telling me that I can run 400ex spindles on my 250r , and use this to retain the 250r calipers...... what about the tie rods would I need to get new tie rods for this set-up?

Yes. You can run 400EX front spindles on your R. Although you will have to run the 400EX calipers and hubs as well. You can run your 250R calipers, but you have to have the adaptors that are in this thread to make them work. You can run your stock or aftermarket tie rods.
