I've been thinking about getting a Laeger or Lonestar frame and had a couple questions. Which one holds up better? Which rear end do you recomend for Play riding and mx? Also will all of my parts swap over from my stock frame 87? If not what are some of the things that I'll have to modify or that wont swap over at all?

Thanks Jon

both are good frames but I have seen both break in the past ..standard link set up will be fine for ring you have described

both are based on 88/89 frame designs ..so the 87 swingarm is not desired but can be made to work ..provided you get the standard rear linkage setup & not the no link or CR set ups
also the 87 pegs will not work either ,correct year nerfs will work ..or 88/89 pegs
I would also consider using 88/89 spindles if making the change over ..camber is better & will help take advantage of better handling of these frames

the laeger narrow frame cr500 link, is one of the best handling 250R chassis, however 90% of riders wouldnt be able to tell the difference. your probably going to be able to get a better deal on a LSR frame just because there are more out there. fine a standard link frame if you can, then you wont have to mess around with a new shock and swingarm.
