This may be a dum Q or maybe not. Will the la sleeve 310 cylinder with standard porting be much better than the curtis sparks 265 setup i have now. The sparks cylinder seems to have aggresive porting and ran very well. The 310 is straight from la sleeve as is. Also upgrading from a 36 PJ to a 38 A/S PWK worth the time? Branden

is the la sleeve ported at all? And is the La sleeve a pro x or a resleaved stock jug? And i have never had any experience with the a/s carb but they say they are much easier and a better design compared to the PJ. hope this helps.

the 310 will most likely have much better lowend for woods, unless the sparks is a specific woods engine. the carb switch is worth it.

pro x no porting

get the pro x then send it to neil and get it ported. Only another 250! but if you were going to get it ported do it now before you put it all together. Save you the hassle for pulling it apart again.

A stock jug 265 is going to be kinda revvie like to get power out of it, the 310 is a bigger piston & will have better bottom end + all the other advantages of the Pro-x cylinder.

DITTO....get the pro x if you want low.......the small oem jugs like to rev to make power...

all preference. some guys like stock jugs and get lots of power out of them. Others like the pro x. different power with the bigger piston and all but it dont think you could go wrong with either. But i would get it ported. I have a 340pv motor that is ported by esr but i really need to send it to get ported, would get so much more out of it.
