Picked up a RAD valve on Ebay, doesn't come with the boot. Is it made to use the stock one? Don't have access to my bike as it is in storage for another month. Want to have shit ready when I bust it out.

stock boot will not work. they make two different ones. one for smaller carbs one for larger carbs.

Nope. Wont work. When I bought my current R, it was in pieces. I got a frame and four boxes full of parts. It came with those reeds and they would not fit the stock boot. So I ordered vforce3's and they fit fine.

what you'll need to do is order a replacement boot for it or you could always use the appropiate size radiator hose.

Go to Home Depot, Lowes or local hardware store. Go to plumbing section and get rubber coupling. They have them with different ID's and some have a lip on the inside that matches up to the rad valve perfectly. At $4 you can't go wrong.
