Any cage with stiff reeds & big so it will flow more.

DIR 1 got a big cage, I thinks its an old Mossenburger cage though.
Kinda looks like a Boysene rad valve but bigger.
Partime, on atvnc.com had one for sale awhile back.

Neil
i agree v force 2 or 3 will do you just fine.

not sure if there is anything to it or not but, here is some flow numbers.

Mossbarger

that is great

just need flow numbers for other brands to compare to see who flows the best.

ok even tho the Boysen TRX250R rad reeds have alot more flow than stock,I am sure the CR250R Boysen rad reeds version has even more & more than most other TRX250R aftermarket set ups ...I have both Boysen set ups ..the trx250R on her R & cr set up on mine..

I would say YES ..its been a few years since I did my lil comparison with a her cylinder which has never been stock ,has mild port work ..to improve bottom end etc (which was mine at the time ) ...but I do remember a difference & that a main jet change was more than obviosly needed ...it was alot leaner with the CR than trx which should indicate more air being pumped in etc..
now I only use the CR type set up on the big bores ..

remember port work, exhaust, carb, condition of rings, size of bore & filter are also other key factors here ,..so comparisons must be done with similar cylinder & carb set ups if possible or IMO are worhtless .. even better,.. ALL the same parts only switching the reed set ups

you have to run the cr 3's because they dont make a 3 for the r only a 2
the 3's are redesigned and carbon fiber
i also use to run a 01 cr 250r reed cage supose to have the affect of the v force 2 half the price

never run mossbarger. I run a v force three setup for the R, not the cr. I have a 340 pv motor at the moment. Just used the same reeds as i had on my 310. I am not sure that changing and spending another 150 bucks would give you that much improvement. But if you are buying new ones, check out those cr syles.

I run the 1Dir Racing reeds and love 'em. I started out with FMF ram valve and switched to the Duncan pyramid reeds witch I didn't like. After installing 1Dir Racing (Mossbarger) reeds I jumped up 10 jet sizes from a 200 to 210. I could tell by the seat of the pants difference.
