Which pipe would work best for MX/Dune riding? I'm currently running a TRX5 std. mount, 330cc with ESR low-mid porting. The TRX5 pipe lacks low end power and the TRX6 pipe is lacking on top end a little. Looking for something in between the 5 and 6 pipe. Is there an advantage to sticking with esr pipes to match the porting or would anyone's pipe work okay with the porting? I've mostly been considering Sparks, CT, PT, ESR, and LRD.

When I say the TRX5 lacks low end, I mean it is sometimes hard to keep it up on the pipe. Slowing down to make turns, I often have to downshift 1 gear or even 2. A lot of times, I'm shifting between 2nd to 4th because i change speeds so much. Also trying to pull paddles all the time probably makes a difference too. With knobbies on dirt, it would be a different story.

I'm running 13/39 gearing with 20" sand skate 2. I mostly ride dunes in a trail/mx style. Lots of climbs, bowls, turns, and jumps. Very little drag racing. In faster sections, the trx5 is awesome. I have some powervalve spacers that I'm going to try before anything else. The spacers act to stiffen the spring and keep the valve down longer, increasing the low end power.

I thought the eliminator was more of a mid-top pipe, similar to the ESR trx5 and the sparks TT? I'll check out Duncan's website again.
