ok, ive been looking for a motor for my trx250r for a while now so i can make it a project and later on just sell it. I found a deal from my friend. He said an atc 250 3-wheeler for $325. they just bought it a week ago from a guy that needed money. well my Q is will that motor bolt right up in my frame with no problem? And the motor runs good so would it be a good motor to use in it. there like the same thing right?

If it's an '85-'86 ATC, yes it'll be fine and bolt right in. If it's an earlier year ATC it will not work.

well what if i move the motor mounts around it will still fit in right?

the earlier year atc250r motors were air-cooled, also the chain is on the right side. It won't work without alot of work. Not worth it either.
