I’ve got the F4 ASV levers on my 86 250r and I’ve got the stock clutch cable all the way tightened and it won’t engage the clutch. Is this normal with ASV levers? Do I need to go to a shorter cable?

New cable is advice if the OEM cable is old. The ASV always has issues if the cable is stretched and/or the clutch lever arm 'Arc Play' is out of specifications. Search .NET forum here, I've written before about 'Arc Play', Cable, Clutch and how to properly adjust.
