I went to my local Honda dealer to ask about the 450r shocks.
I told them I was just curious if all the 450r shocks were the same, because I wanted to mount them on my 86 trx250r.
They told me there are a few different part numbers for these front shocks according to the year of the quad. Thats what he said it looked like on the computer.
So if there are changes with the 04-08 front shocks, what are the changes?
Will all the 04-08 front shocks fit my bike?

They are all the same length for all years so they will all fit. I don't think there was any changes but if there were they were with valving and spring rate.
