the roost boost was the hot ticket back in the late 80's early 90's. it intensified your spark. then they said it was worthless.? kind've like the AMP link, the best thing ever, then a while later, they were a waste of money...??? i doubt your weak spark is caused by the coil, probably the stator

Kinda funny in a way, when you think of all the gadgets companys have made to pull a buck of of people.

Back when the roost came out, bunch of R owners FRIED some ignitions trying to use them. Dont know if it was a problem with the boost or if the user hooked it up wrong or what.
I just know I didnt ever buy one, ol TRX250R ignitions got enough problems to start with without adding another one to boot.

You know, I got a bunch of ideas on things to build, little gadgets to add on & look like something but dont do anything, it could happen.
Naw, I dont think so, aint gona happen, I think to much of you guys to be screwing you guys like that.

when i bought the ole blaster it had a roost boost on it. so i left it on there but, later in years when the primary coil went south i played around with the ignition trying it with and without the roost boost and honestly couldnt tell a ounce of difference in it.

I had one for a 85 tecate 3, ran it with and without, couldn't tell any difference. They belong in the same bin as a Amp-link, waste of money and time gimmicks. I had a Amp-link also, that was a huge waste of time and money, the crappy thing is that in order to use it, you have to drill out the stock chain rollers. So you are stuck with it.
