idk much about the whole a-arms setup and names. but is there a certain name for the a-arms that are straight and then they dip down almost 70 degress and then run across flat. are they called long travel?

and who makes these kind of a-arms i know gibson does or used to. any others?

I think what you're referring to is max ground clearance a-arms. A few manufacturers have made them, including Gibson, Houser, Herman, and perhaps others. They do just what the name implies, provide maximum ground clearance. I've only seen this type of a-arm as long travel setups, but could also come in standard travel as well.
