I'm not sure what code the red is but its very bright and glossy. Suspension will be brushed on POR-15 Oldsmobile engine gold, engine/calipers will be VHT graphite HWP102 rattle can.

Quick Update. The POR 15 turned out like crap, I thinned it too much when I sprayed and got a case of the runs. Im letting it dry so I can sand the runs down. Im thinking of not trying the POR15 Gold again, instead I found this..... HI-TECH® ENGINE ENAMELS - Seymour of Sycamore (Seymour EN-50) I know I can paint better with a rattle can and this is supposed to be a match for Oldsmobile gold engines. Anyone ever used it before?

should have added some enamel hardener.when i paint my engines i preheat them and then spray then put in my powdercoat oven and cure.so it's easy for me to get several coats in minutes.

Another update. Things are going well, my gold suspension components turned out good but the color match is not perfect. Engine painting and replacing the hardware turned out well. I'm now waiting on a truck load of bearings. 20191207_200611.jpg 20191207_200628.jpg 20191207_200732.jpg 20191130_212700.jpg

I made a lot of progress over christmas but things are going to move a slower pace. I plan on torquing the suspension when its on the ground and has some sand bags on the seat. Engine has spark. waiting on more parts, some might not arrive until February.

Well here it is in almost all its glory! Everything is ready to go except for the hood. Ill make a post in the body work section for more info on that. Its been ran for 10 min, aligned, brakes bled, and I've creepily stared at it for hours. Once shes on the ice ill get some more pictures.

Today was test day and all went well! Zero issues to report! I clocked 65mph on the GPS, surface was not great. 13/39 gearing. In the quiet smooth bays its what dreams are made of, long controllable power slides in 4th and 5th. Some day Ill get a go-pro and share. Big thanks to everyone on this site for sharing info and experience! Some day I want to ride sand dunes, but if you've never played on a frozen lake I highly recommend it! Cheers!
