New to 2T, new to 250R. I know, i'm late to the party...
Picked up an 86 trx250r with a few mods. Looking for good starting point or just what you experts think about where its at now and where it should be as far as jetting. Previous owner had it sitting for 10 years but prior to that he said it was last set up for high altitude, about 6-7k ft. It has an FMF older gold series pipe (no fatty or gnarly marking) FMF silencer, Rad Valve w/ Boysen Reeds, Uni filter, looks to be OEM air box lid, OEM snorkel. He mentioned it had been ported a "couple" of times but doesn't remember to whats size. He did say its built to run 91 pump gas and hes always ran 50:1. Currently has a .170 main, #45 slow, needle clip in the middle. It fires right up, but some delay on throttle response on take off and in between gears. I'm still green when it comes to 2T so kinda tough for me to know how it should sound or feel exactly. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
