Just wondering what the diff is between the 86-87 and 88-89 swing arms
I got a 87 w/houser swing arm, works ultracross, adj dog bone. No matter how I adj the dog bone you have to compress the shock to get linkage bolts in, because the cross brace right behind the swing arm pivot is hitting the frame mount for the shock linkage or is that normal?? never had to with my yfz, raptor, ex. thanks

the difference between the 86-87 and the 88-89 is the 88-89 is about an inch shorter. you have to compress the shock because it might be a preload shock.

adjustable dog bone, not good ..your probably adjusting it too short or toolong ..the OEM linkage is best & fits right provided the proper frame is being used with proper parts
are ya sure its a 87 swingarm ..or ? what frame year is it going on ??

the frame is stock 87, i bought it as is, it has to compress like half an inch to get the last bolt in.

thanks for the help

ps i'm sure i can find aftermarket parts compatibility right next to nitrous system troubleshooting in the service manual too
