based on my experiences with the Hot Rods crank, (whether it be 250r's or banshee) its a crap shot. i mean, i've seen em last just as long as a OEM and i've seen em "out of round" straight out of the box and have to be trued and all. taking in consideration what money it takes to go through and build one of these hi performance engines. its not a gamble that i'm not(and never will be) confortable with. period! the odds are just not there imo.te 4mm hot rods is a fine way to go IMO. i know alot of people that run that crank with no problems.
