i have a 86 250r, bored .30, fully fmf exhaust, K&n filter, air box lid on wit 2 1/4" holes drilled in the lid.she starts up in 2 or 3 kicks. from a dead stop to get goin she will bogg and have no power , rought start off. but once i get goin from about half and up shes an animal B) ... i shift to second and the beginning of 2nd boggs alil but once i hit the power band she clears up.. my main jet is 330 and pilot is 55..needle clip is in the middle and my air mixture screw is 1 1/4 turns out... can someone help me out? i think my pilot might be alil on the small side but not sure.. sny help i would greatly appreciate

ESR recommends a 25 pilot on the TMX carbs. You might try that. Also the air screw is 1 1/2 to 2 turns out.

is there a difference bewteen the tmx and the tm carbs? i was on the website of carbparts.com and noticed the Tm carb comes with a 230 main and a 22.5 pilot... my main is 330 wit a pilot of 55.. thats a big difference isnt it? i can see the pilot being 25...but the big jump for a main has me comfused

the 01 CR 250's used a 38mm TMX the stock jetting was 420 main, 35 pilot. it sounds like your pilot is substantially rich. the symptoms you describe would lead me to think the same.
