Only reason to go bigger would be to get more top end power. 36mm will be fine.

I honestly would try out a 38mm A/S carb. They work amazing for most riding conditions... I noticed a big diff when i went from 38 down to 36 (thought i would gain lowend) but i was wrong.

If you are lookin to buy one, let me know..ill get yo u a deal :p

it is mainly a bike that splits time between the dunes and trails. just an all around bike.
I would run a 38 TM or TMX, or even a taperbore 36/38 TMX depending on how much trail riding you do. I run a 42/44 taperbore TM from AAEN on my old 370 for dragging, it is a forgiving and all around great carb.

It might just be me, but I am partial to the TM/TMX flat slides.

I'm with you Teddy. I love the TM's. I like the removable dump tubes. I run a 41mm TM on my 265 if that helps. It's all drag though.

If set up right a big carb is awsome. The smaller carbs are a little more forgiving. If it's for all around riding I think I would put a 39mm or 41mm TM on it. I've seen 44mm carbs work perfect on 265cc-270cc motors. Just my .02 worth.

i run 44 lectrons on alky with all my drag motors. i run a pj34 on my 250 duner. i also have a 41.5 tmxx on my 350 that i LOVE and HATE! LOL i HATE mikunis in general, but i love this carb. Alot of people make the mistake on single cyl set ups by over carbing the bike. bgger is not always better, espeacially if you do not have the tuning ability. the signal weakens as you go bigger, tand thats when motors begin to get finicky. We actually run a 39 on one of our 370 drag bikes on gas, and it pulls very hard. i think your 36 will work fine for you for what you are wanting to do.
