how are they? I like to ride mx/racing and some mess around stuff. is this good for that stuff or should i get a nonpv. and the powervalve i heard there more like a 4-stroke longer gear type of setup. well do they still have good powerband. does anybody have a video running a 310 pv. help? haha thanks everyone
I've personally never ridden one, but I'm pretty sure that is going to be my next upgrade. The PV is primarily for the type of riding that you do. The idea behind the PV is that it broadens the power band, and smoothens out the classic 2 stroke hit. This allows for less wheel spin, which means greater traction and more power to the ground, especially at lower RPM's.
Also, with a 310 kit you haven't gotten completely into big bore territory. What I mean by that is, you won't have to machine your cases, use a high flow/volume big bore exhaust, upgrade your tranny gears, upgrade your clutch, etc, etc. It is always a good idea to do those types of things when deciding to run a big bore of any kind, but with the 310 you can get away with the stock components, at least for a while.
