now a days checks are processed electronically so it should flagg immediately if its bad, otherwise they are using some kind of loop hole like what would happen if its a very small bank and must be processed on the old ways. and thats when it gets found out that it is not true.

i had a similar thing happen they wanted to send me a check and me send them western union. but i was not going for it as i know the bank laws n rules pretty well from over the years buying and selling things.

there is no money tied to that check and depositing it can actually hurt you because they will pin you with the bounce fee not the person who wrote it.

I like the idea of sending the guy a message and telling him thank for the free 6650$ just to see the reply

As of late they are usually in Nigeria or other African nations where they feel safe from any legal intervention. You can see just by reading the first couple sentences that the text is software translated into english.
