i did search before i posted but they seem to be able to be found in good condition for alot less than a trx im talkig apples to apples oem cylinder to oem cylinder i know the gearing is different but is it the case even the liquid cooled atc engines aern't that good?

The 85, 86 atc motor is the basically the same as the 86 trx motor. the main difference is the the trx came stock with a thicker head gasket. I also believe the port design is a little different on the cylinder also.
