Hey guys, I am new tothis site. Grew up racing 2 wheels from the 2stroke era. And even though I have switched to 4strokes for the last 4 or 5 yrs, I have also made the switch to quads. Which I have a 450r now bought from eastcoast, and I just bought a 250r that is worked by lonestar. I bought it mostly bc theres nothing like the smell of benol in the morning. HAHA and even though its doesnt compare to my 450r I'd love to have a 2stroke class at the local mx races to run it in. Has this started anywhere else for quads or are there any rumors of it ever happening? I know they have done this for bikes for the past few years now.

Im in district 6 by the way.

Well, out here in the West we have the ITP Quadcross series, and they have a 91-25-cc 2-stroke class. That's what I run. But there aren't many entries most of the time. And really, I keep up just fine running with the the 450 4-strokes. I only run the 2-stroke class to try and support it and to let the promoters know that we're still here! I don't expect the class will last much longer though. It's mainly a "Blaster class", and now that they quit making that... I figure the days are numbered.

Thats a great website. as you can see I am new to the quad scene. I will post it there, I may get laughed out of the forum, but who cares. There has to be some other people that still love the 2stroke.

I dunno about it being all that great always room for improvement IMO .....but it does have links for classes,racing, rules etc

this weekend is racing @ Sleepy Hollow for the start of year for several series in D-6 btw

I dunno your age or ability ..but maybe you should look into the open classes also

Yea im aware of the ultimate series etc in D6 ive ben racing mx for a long time. Im 25 now and just trying to have some fun and not be to serious about everything. Yea i know till the gate drops. First year on a quad, i feel im decent on it for just hopping on. Im going to run the C class and collegeboy or 25+ class till I see how things go. Ill be at sleepy this wknd, if your going stop by and say hello. Any help I can get would be great. Good luck.

naah we aint gonna bother with that mudfest my daughter is racing her bike elsewhere on sunday ....hope your quad is water proof & likes mud ! .. good luck tho

Not local, I actually live next door to Pagoda. Which is ironic I made the switch to quads when they won't let me come near the track with them. But I will be doing the Ultimate series as much as possible, so please do get in touch. I just recently scooped a 250r done completely by lonestar, could use some feedback and advice on it.

we/she loves Pagoda ..LOL we are hoping Pagoda dont cancel the races this weekend like Sleepy did already ..
she will race the ultimate series on her bike again this year ..last year she was 2nd in the Ultimate

she is racing quads too,.. so I am sure we could meet up sooner or later ..she likes DMX alot she won the track series last year on both her 50's ..so she starting there on her quads this year

I have had 250R's for like 8 years now so If I can help ..no problem my MX R is a full lonestar as well ..the link in my signature is it

Thats Great! Good luck to her and you this year. Yea i just saw sleepy is cancelled. That may be a good thing for me, I havent had much time on the quad, not as much as id like so I will be able to get a lot of practice in saturday. Ill be over at pagoda this sunday to watch the action. Going to be weird not being there to race. Id appreciate any help i could get with my 250r, what do you know about the TCI suspension they put on it? It doesnt seem near as good as my elka. But i havent had much time on it to know for sure either. Are you riding saturday anywhere?

no I am not riding .. I will be checking to see if they are practing at all ..

if so we will be there friday evening in the RV ...til sunday ..

if not we'll get there later saturday afternoon . We are using the older Winnebago
motorhome this weekend & her new 14 gery enclosed trailer ,.. her # this year is 347 on a 06 KTM 65 ..stop by if you see us ....

the TCS are usually a good set up ,but I've never owned TCS tho I prefer PEP's,got em on all 3 of my R's ..& IMO elka is not as good as either ...but I know thats not usually popular opinion its just based on my (short ) experience with elka ...if ya like bring your quad over & I'll check 'er out some

hey welcome to the r world! i am also a two wheeler as well i'm over in minnesota district 23.We just started a 2 stroke class for quads, 91cc and up.And we finnaly tweaked our bike class structure to help out the 125 guys, as well as limiting 250cc 2 or 4 stroke in our other class,leaving out the 450's.good luck on the r, a well tuned r will have no problem hanging with the 450's... imo.

Yea I didnt race pagoda. But i was at sleepy, I may have met you, I met a ton of people with being new to the quads. How did you make out at sleepy? Will you be in evansville? I will be going up and trying to race the supercross and the sunday race, have a banged up wrist so im hoping it feels better by then.
