Just grenaded the bottom end on my 86 250r, I was wondering what all would be needed done to run a 87-89 4mm stroker crank with the oem 86 cylinder. Porting, spacers, head work, which piston, etc..

See a lot of guys confused on this so just making sure
86 is short rod
87-89 is long rod
all years are same stroke
Hot setup is long rod crank with 86 piston and run spacer plate, drop in setup basically
More goes into running stroker, port timing..

So running the 87-89 stock crank with 86 cylinder and piston and what size spacer? Seems alot easier than doing all the port and head work to make the 4mm stroker crank work
0.190" Spacer Plate + (2) 0.020" OEM Honda base Gaskets :)
