Ok so it's been a little bit since I've last posted but Im almost done building my 86 trx to race hare scrambles this year! Im a 20 year old Tig welder so time off is hard to come by! Right now I'm running a stock cylinder but it's bored over to a 67.50 mm, I had the cylinder decked, cool head, 20cc dome if I remember right, I put in a new weisco piston, boyesen rad valve, spacer, pj38 carb, Paul Turner 89 race pipe, pro circuit 304 and so on... Right now I'm running the OEM 3 piece head gasket. I run vp110 and 91 ethonal free at 50% each per gallon. With klotz r50 at 32/1. I'll do a compression test today but if I remember correctly it was around 190. Can I swap that head gasket out for a cometic .010 gasket and switch to straight 110 octane. Does a uccr need to be performed? Would a mod like this give me any noticible power increase? I mean it screams now but more is always better! I also don't like driving all over to find ethonna free fuel and 110 octane.
