    axis rebuild

just picked up a custom axis zps style shock off ebay for my no link lrd build and the resi fitting rubs my subframe because it comes out of the side of the shock instead of the back , someone also took channel locks or a pipe rench to the spanner nuts at one time so there gouged up and it needs a lower bushing at the pivot to the swingarm . anyway whole point of this is there onywhere i can get this shock rebuilt at a reasonable price , im from oakley ca so someplace local would be nice but sending it off is fine too . thanks for the help guys

I say send it to axis but its about a 3-4 week wait right now. If anything call them up and see what they can do for you and they may have someone out your way that services axis.

Joe, I get mine back today. It's only been a week. Definitely try axis, No one knows their shocks better, they are very reasonably priced, and I am pretty sure some of the part they use another builder would have to order from them anyway..

Check out Evan Schmidt, he is in Visalia CA. He rebuilds custom axis. He just did my TCS shock and I would highly recommend him.

Another vote for Axis. They have been nothing but great to work with. The cost of a service is decently priced, but if things are needed it could add up. Is the spring the correct rate for your weight/chassis/riding style? Bushings will probably need to be replaced as you mentioned, again not bad priced but could add up quick.

I have had shocks done by local (big name too) quad shops with horrible results. Not once has Axis disappointed me in service. I needed a shock repaired 1 week before a race. I overnighted the package, they fixed the shock and sent it back in time for the race.

I would send them to axis. I believe the company name is Penske on the internet. They are a top notch company.

They stayed in the US right? I have no problems with that, its when the companys leave the contry that i get sour on using there products.
