I tried calling several times and no answer. Call and if you get ahold of him ask when you can go look and then pm me the time. I'll look and post pics.

I talked yo him for a few minutes. He has multiple bikes of every year for sale including atc's. From the way he talked I would estimate he has somewhere around 50 250r's total, all stock and in great shape. He also has 4 or 5 sets of brand new plastic if anyone is interested. Seemed like a real nice guy.

That guy has a lot of nice stuff. He lives by me and is meticulous about the restores and takes great pride in Hondas that for sure.

Price is always the deciding factor. If not I would take all 5 sets.

$2000 for white. $2800 for red is what he quoted me. Buy all of them and get a better deal I'm sure.

What is the allure of having an orginal R let alone paying $4500 for one? I seriously don't get it? I know if I went to sell my R that is super nice I'd probably be LUCKY to get $4500. The market for things things just sucks. I suppose if a person wanted to buy one and lets it sit in the garage and rubs it with a diaper then OK.

For a person who already owns an R $4500 would buy a KILLER motor or buy a killer suspension PLUS some! If a person didn't have an R they could buy a very nice R (fairly decked out) for that kind of money.

I also don't understand the original plastics factor either? You have Maier and Fullbore plastics available. Half the allure of Fullbore is their claim of plastics are stronger. I see people will pay a premium for OEM plastics - why? IMHO they aren't any better than what you can buy on a daily basis.

Seriously I just don't get it and would love to hear someone elses perspectives on the matter.
