It's kinda funny that the 250R was the greatest winning and hardcore abused atv out there for years and now for the most part it sits pretty in peoples garages, never being rode or babied when it is.

Some are still put through their paces but for the most part I imagine most just sit.

I took my R to the track it was like a ufo came flying in , could see buddys slaping their buddys arm and pointing. heard people saying "thats a 250r" as we drove by, kids dont even know what to think since it kinda sounds like their apex's lol I asked around none else takes one to the track , but i hear theres quite a few rotting away in barns around here. As much as i would love a bone stock 88 from my trips to the bike shop as a kid i like to ride more and nothing riden can stay in perfect shape.

Where is this guy in MI? I would love to see his collection anyone know if he lets the public take a look?
    Nasty as I wanna be.

I believe his ad says he is from Imlay city. I have seen ads on CL and ebay before from a guy that had all stock or restored 250rs that was from Lapeer. It might be the same guy though as the two cities are about 10 miles apart. he had one that had the tags hanging off the handle bars like you see a dealers.

I have no problem with what other people will do for a mint stocker. I would have to win the lottery before that would get on my priority list, but I am glad there are other peeps out there keeping the stockers alive.

I have all original plastic on my 88r with one small crack on the hood but in decent shape beside being faded i would be interested in selling them they would look good if they had the orignal decals
