After riding the 500 a few times the last two seasons, not liking it as much as I wanted.
Decided to do the next thing that I always wanted.
Guess I'm marking off "rides" on the bucket list.

Stuff a 954RR engine in place of the 500.
Picked up a 954 a few weeks ago. Complete bike minus upper faring and trashed front forks.
Still in the "measure once" stage.
I won't say this a unlimited budget build but I'll promise it'll be done right.

    Going after a "stock" look.
A look, that if you where walking by it at the camp ground, you wouldn't realize what it is...That is until it's started.

It'll be a few weeks until there's any real progress that pics will do any good.

one of the first steps would be to get the 500 out of MY GARAGE!!!!! That would make the build alot easier

My Uncle did this back in the late 90's but with a CBR600 Engine in his 88. He kept everything stock looking except for these items: custom exhaust with a vance & hines muffler, 15" Swingarm and marvin shaw's all the way around.

Looking forward to seeing this build. A guy that hillclimbs with us has a quadzilla frame with a cbr600. And it sounds o so sweet.

I put about 16k miles on an '03 954RR. With a Hindle exhaust and PCIII it'll make about 130 at the rear wheel on a bike.

That thing is going to be insane!!!

    That's the look I'm after. I have the Shaws and a +12...

    crash
One of the reasons I'm going with the 954 is I have a kick ass custom paint RR for the street.
Don't tell Woody, but he's the one that layed out the kick ass custom paint job.

Sick. Just plain sick. Can't wait to see the finished product.
I've always wanted to toss a Arctic Cat Thundercat 1000cc 2-stoke sled motor in a quad. They're a monstor on the snow and grass drags.
