    89' 250R Project

I bought my first 86' 250R about a year and a half ago. Ended up getting FMF exhaust after a few months because I didnt like what I had. Replaced the front shocks with 450R ones, and I bought a new seat cover.
Then I was riding it one day with my buddies and the motor mount broke off. My frame was already a POS. Welded a few hundred times... So I decided to tear it down and sell it. Picked up an 89' frame from Silverlake250R, along with a new radiator, shrouds, airbox, bumper and grab bar. My cases were junk, so I bought a set of center cases and got all the bearings and seals out. Now I am waiting on them at the powdercoater. I ended up selling my frame to a guy, and he was going to use it for parts on a drag frame. Sold the 450R shocks, and I found a great deal on some 15.5" Elkas that will work nice with the stock front end. I will be running the 86 swing arm with a billet spacer. I’m 17 years old, and am trying to keep the cost down. Eventually when I am out of college I hope to go with a full roll design setup with the stock frame. Anyways, the project is coming along nicely, and I hope to make it up to Silver Lake Memorial Day!

    Looks good so far.

Are those chassis inc pegs or pro-fab pegs?

Looks good. Keeping the frame red or going back to yellow?

I will be keeping the frame red for now. Just to keep the cost down. The PC is in such good shape, it would be a shame to sandblast it all off!

You can pick up the hoses and clamps from Jegs.

    http://www.jegs.com/p/Russell/Russe...747258/10002/-1

They are stainless braided radiator hoses size -12, which is 3/4 in diameter.
