I use a 1/4" air die grinder, with the real thin cut off blade & SAFETY GLASSES.

The die grinder is what I used too. Use a sharpie and mark your lines first. You will like them alot better as long as you stay out of the mud. Its nice to see your tires when your jumping.

I cut my fullbores recently with a jig saw. Marked my cut line with electrical tape. Then took a grinder with a sanding wheel and made everything pretty. They came out very nice.

I have always used a dremel. Just make sure you have it marked the way you want it before you cut. I cut mine then used a sanding block to smooth it out. Here is a pic.
