Figured I would share some pictures and details about what I have done to my '86 over the last year. Let me know what you think!

    Frame/Suspension/Body:

    -400EX front and rear wheels
-new swingarm pivot bearings, front and rear wheel bearings, steering stem bearings, etc.
    -450r front bumper
-new engine and swingarm skid plates
-stainless braided brake lines in front, OEM 450r brake line in rear
-new clutch cable, throttle cable, clutch lever

-new D.I.D. ATV X-Ring chain, new sprockets, new chain sliders
    -new 450r handlebars
-new chrome motor mounts and case saver (thanks PUMASHINE)
    -gripper seat cover
    -black tank cover and hood
    -custom fit 400ex heel guards
-assorted new bolts and rubber pieces

    Engine/Intake/Exhaust:

-Fully disassembled, inspected, cleaned, and painted gloss black
    -.040'' over Wiseco piston
-OEM ''8 Ball'' CR500 crank bearings
-Barrnett clutch basket, Tusk clutch plates, OEM springs, and new needle bearings
-OEM waterpump mechanical seal, bearing, oil seal and gaskets
-OEM crank seals, and all other oil seals
    -new OEM flywheel key
    -new radiator hoses
    -Pro Circuit pipe and silencer
-new 38mm Airstriker, machined by ESR to fit stock intake
    -new OEM intake boot
    -Boyesen reeds
    -450r shifter
-NGK "Racing Cable'' spark plug wire and cap
    -rebuilt petcock
    -rebuilt kick starter

Kicking compression is 185 psi, runs on 93 octane pump gas, Yamalube 2R premix @ 32:1, carb jetting is 50 pilot, DGJ needle 3rd clip, 168 main.

I'm sure there is more that I am forgetting, but you get the idea... Here are some pictures from before the restoration.

Looks great! But then again, it didn't look bad in the "before" pictures, LOL! Alot of work, looks like it was well worth it.

Took me about an hour, so not too hard. Just ground some plastic material away and bent the metal brackets a little.
