    new 250x

    Buddie of mine just bought a 87 x. We need to split the motor to replace bearings. Need to replace mains and Maby the crank. Now instead of going to a shop and having someone do it he seems to think that we can do it. Not worried about it its not mine. Haha jk so I'm lookin for any pointers or info to help me do so. Thanks

    The motor is a pain to get out of the frame... It takes some worming it around to get it out... Just heads up on that.

    The rest of it is pretty straight forward. Since your taking it all the way down, its just a matter of doing it.

    I just rebuilt the motor on my all original 87 250x. Love the X for just trail riding.

    Thanks for the input we took off the head and jug today just a knocking noise in the bottom end don't know were everything looked good from the top but who knows

    The motor will only come out of the left hand side. Remove the bottom motor mount and it should come out easy. Found this out the hard way last summer. Spent 45 minutes trying to get the motor out, and then the lightbulb finally went on. Lol

    Also lookin for plastic, can't remember who I talked to on here but i think they had a set of grey full boar or somethin.

    I have a complete 250x and 350x engines. both are ready to bolt into the X frame... let me know if you need anything. i have a 38mm carb off a 400ex that bolts onto either quad too. tons of other parts. I have the silver set of maiers. just let me know
