Put the plug back in bike fired up spit and sputtered died. Changed plug same thing start and die. Now i have good blue spark good fuel to motor but bike won't run. Any help. Stator went out bike was running fine sent it in got it back and this is what I have now. I'm lost.

Yup that's why I'm here I know some one has a answer. Is it possible that the motor is just carbed up, I don't think so but that's what it runs like.

I'm working on a similar problem with my 86 R. Had Carlos build the motor with a new ricky stator I put it in and somtimes it starts then other times it wont. When I sheck for spark it had it.. Replaced the cdi and coil no better float was set by bdt and over a phone conversation thats correct, unpluged the handle bar switch didnt help. now I got a differnt harness to try then I broke a park in my carb and havent tried it. Since then Carlos sugested putting another jumper ground from the motor to the frame since the powder coat on the motor mite be not completing the circut thru the motor mounts. Hop this fixes my problem and helps you.

It is also possibly the engine is not assembled together correctly. Not saying anything more than we can all make a mistake when we are assembling an engine; I have seen it many times. In your case Chris; you need to start from square one. If you have a new stator, a good CDI & Coil (NEW OEM or GOOD known working parts), as well as a good Spark Plug, Boot & Wire, Flywheel, ON/OFF Switch and Ground...it should run without issues as long as the engine is correct.

Are your Reeds good? Is the piston installed correctly? Carb good? ...something here is not correct; need to go back and double check everything.

That's just it I had the bike running all the time up till about 3 weeks ago never a problem never had anything done to the bike since I've owned it. Just a stator have tried two different coils pick ups nothin changed. Got the stator from ricks motorsport electric, the guy called me told me it was tested on his personal bike rode for 15 min.

Pantera1975 (Jeff); I will bet you lunch your ground is the issue along with initially a faulty CDI as well as other possible electrical issues. Your engine has run fine a few times according to what you have told me, therefore; your issue is intermitent IMO. I sent you a new wire harness to try along with a new tower for your carb since you accidently broke the other one. This weekend you need to dive in and get this Bad Boy going...

Ricks or Ricky Stator...if Ricks get rid of it, even if they claim they tested it. If Ricky Stator; it should be fine, then again; nothing is certain specially when it comes to electrical componets.
