If you don't run paddles, drop tire pressure down to at least 3lbs per rear tire
    Can you feel the power!

get some paddles, i am up at silver lake all the time. i tried dirt tires in the back one time, you need to be constantly pinned(which you always are anyways on any 2 stroke) but its different. you will go through alot more gas, never win a drag, and may need to re-ring after a weekend in the dunes. as far as fronts go, its total opinion, the old school mohawks are the absolute best, but i just run my dirt tires, or have up to this point. hope to see ya up there!

I only hit the sand once a year but the conditions make a difference also. Real Dry sand paddles help allot, not totally dry or on the sandy trails most oem dunlops or bar lug type radial tire work rather well IMO. The holeshots didn't work as well in sand for us so some dirt tires work better. Tires like Morse selling are light an a great tire for speed they also expand the faster they spin, so letting the 250r fly an if you like drag racing they will be your friend, but pretty much the only time I run straight. I mainly run a v pattern tire like the ITP sandstars they seem to be one of the better V paddles for all around friendly drags an tooling around, etc.. I don't like to jump allot on a nice set of buffed paddles or ride places with packed or tar roads like waynoka. I would not buy Geckos.
