QUOTE(JPR Ram @ Jan 6 2011, 03:26 PM) I used to use Maxim Caster 927 all the time; but have since switched to Yamalube. Been using the Yamalube for several seasons now. But I just recently installed a new ESR 310 PV cylinder and ESR recommends using the Caster 927. Is the Yamalube still ok to use, or should I start using Maxim Caster 927 again?
I'm still breaking in my cylinder now, but I'm using the Yamalube. Is that gonna be a problem?
Maxima Castor 927 is 80% Synthetic and 20% Castor or BeNol Castor will provide better lubricating properties. I am not sure if YamLube 2R is all synthetic or a blend of Synthetic & Castor…I understand it is a blend of synthetics or semi-synthetics.
Go with the manufactures recommendation, then when your PV fails, they will not be able to say you did not follow the recommended oil for use…
