I used to use Maxim Caster 927 all the time; but have since switched to Yamalube. Been using the Yamalube for several seasons now. But I just recently installed a new ESR 310 PV cylinder and ESR recommends using the Caster 927. Is the Yamalube still ok to use, or should I start using Maxim Caster 927 again?

I'm still breaking in my cylinder now, but I'm using the Yamalube. Is that gonna be a problem?

Maxima Castor 927 is 80% Synthetic and 20% Castor or BeNol Castor will provide better lubricating properties. I am not sure if YamLube 2R is all synthetic or a blend of Synthetic & Castor…I understand it is a blend of synthetics or semi-synthetics.

Go with the manufactures recommendation, then when your PV fails, they will not be able to say you did not follow the recommended oil for use…

    my opinion
Belray MC-1 for use with pump gas. (if running pump gas then probably a milder motor and can get by with a good oil). I've ran this in my Rs, blasters, and stock zillas since mid 90s

Maxima 927 for race gas (if running race gas probably a more powerful motor and thus best lube required)
    88 x 3 TRX250R's, couple 88 blasters, couple 85 350x's, 87/85 TRX350XR hybrid, 88 zilla, 92/87 Hybrid LT250/500R, & JP Racing Outlaw chassis w/ LT500R HRD motor

Klotz is really one of the top oils in my opinion. Been using R-50 forever never fouled a plug or had any issues in any motor i ran it in. Plus it smells awesome

927 Or Motoul 800, only oils to buy (imo from rebuilding engines) they keep engines of similar use much cleaner.
