    Too much premix?

I have some race gas that I can't remember whether or not it has oil in it. I'm pretty sure it does, but I don't want to take a chance. If I add oil and it already has oil in it, will it do anything other than foul the spark plug and smoke a lot?

Ok I put some of the mystery gas in a glass jar and gas that I know has oil in it in a glass.jar. The gas with oil is a light brown color and the other is still purple. So I'm guessing it probably doesn't have oil in it....

This would be a good one for Carlos but.. I'm assuming you are the one that mixed the mystery gas at some point. Depending on how you typically mix your gas, as long as your mixture isn't too far away from 20/1, you will be fine. Besides losing an extremely small amount of hp it won't hurt. The extra lubrication should have no affect, and I would recommend it from previous experience with other peoples two strokes that your better off 20/1 anyways. Good luck, hope that helps

You could dump a little on concrete, gas will evaporate. The oil remains, or put a 1/4 cup and let it sit. You'll see oil residue after the gas evaporates.
