86 250r vibration at about half rpm

I have an 86 that I just picked up and it has a vibration at about half throttle mostly in 1st but it is pretty major. It makes my hands tingle. Lol. It has been sitting for 5 years. It runs ok but I need to clean and tune the carb. Any help of what it could be?

My first thought would be to verify your counterbalancer is installed and timed to the engine correctly. Do you have a manual? I use a Clymers.

Thanks, now I have tightened the exhaust header bolts (that were leaking a ton of exaust oil) and have noticeced a small knock that may be coming from the bottom end duringlow idle.

Lower end is worn out, most likely crankshaft, CB, main Bearings, Rod, Needle bearings.

On 250R’s when the crankshaft goes out of alignment (they do 100% of the time after 30 hours of use, and keep creeping out of spec 60-70 hours, 100 hours and they are usually totally done)…they start to vibrate & knock heavily at above 2500 RPM’s.

You know Carlos is BDT Motorsports? They are more than "good" with a 250r engine! Probably one of the best.
